It starts with potatoes
Sustainably Sourced PEI Potatoes
Our journey begins in the red soil of Prince Edward Island, where we source culled and leftover potatoes that would otherwise go to waste. These spuds may be oddly shaped or too large for market but to us, they’re gold. We extract fresh potato juice to use as the base of our soaps instead of water, giving each bar natural Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid for radiant, hydrated skin.
Small-batch & handmade
Each batch of Island Potato Soap® is made by hand, 18 bars at a time. We hand-cut every bar, then let them cure for over 6 months to create a long-lasting, gentle soap that lathers beautifully and leaves your skin feeling soft, not stripped.
Why We Replace Water with Potato Juice
Potato juice is naturally rich in skin-loving nutrients. It contains Vitamin C to help brighten and repair the skin, and hyaluronic acid to hold moisture and reduce dryness. This makes it an excellent, eco-conscious alternative to water in soapmaking — and it gives our bars their signature creamy lather.

A Local Oil Crop With Global Benefits
Abyssinian oil is the key oil ingredient we use in our Face and Hand Cream products and it’s grown right here on Prince Edward Island. The Abyssinian plant is regarded as a soil saver, it can be grown in very dry conditions and it only takes 100 days to mature. With concerns over climate, the Abyssinian plant is the ideal oil crop. The oil product is pure, genuine and it is local.
