Not All Potato Soaps are Created the Same
Many products on the market use what’s called “potato water” — water that has simply been in contact with potatoes. While this allows them to use the name, it doesn’t meaningfully change the soap itself.
We take a different approach.
We Use Real Potato Juice
Our soap is made with fresh potato juice, making up approximately 23% of the recipe. This is created by processing whole potatoes and incorporating the juice directly into the soap.
Why That Matters
Using real potato juice:
- Creates a creamier, smoother lather
- Adds a unique character to the bar
- Reflects a more authentic use of the ingredient
Honest Soapmaking
We believe in being straightforward about what soap can and cannot do.
Soap is made using a traditional process with oils and lye, which transforms the ingredients into a gentle cleansing bar. While potatoes are known as a nutritious food, those nutrients do not remain in soap after it is made.
That’s why we focus on:
- real ingredients
- quality craftsmanship
- a great user experience
Rooted in Place
Our potato soap is inspired by Prince Edward Island — where potatoes are part of the land, the culture, and everyday life.
This is not just a name.
It’s a reflection of where we are from and how we make our products.
