Anne of Green Gables Potato Soap - Calm and Soothing

$7.25

Inspired by the simple, wholesome life at Green Gables, this artisanal soap is crafted using traditional tallow and moisturizing oils, just as Anne might have used on the farm. Our soap produces a hard, long-lasting bar with a creamy lather that gently cleanses and softens your skin.

Every bar is a little piece of Avonlea nostalgia—handcrafted with care, blending natural ingredients to honor the charm and authenticity of Anne's world. Free from unsustainable palm oil, it reflects the pastoral, sustainable spirit of Prince Edward Island, connecting you to the timeless beauty and simplicity of Green Gables.

Let the gentle scent and rich lather transport you to the rolling fields and flowering gardens that Anne loved, turning everyday washing into a touch of literary magic.

Our Lavender scented Anne Soap is crafted using real cold-pressed, screened potato juice along with a blend of tallow and oils. This gentle approach creates a bar with a naturally silky feel and a rich, creamy lather. The potato juice contributes to a smooth, refined texture and a beautifully clean finish in each bar.

Scented with pure lavender, the soap offers a soft, calming aroma that feels fresh and comforting without being overpowering. The bar is mild, long-lasting, and suitable for everyday use.

Potatoes have a long history of use in traditional skincare practices. In this soap, potato juice is used as a botanical ingredient contributing to a gentle, nourishing skin feel.

Handcrafted using local potatoes

From PEI Potato Fields to Your Skin

Our soap begins with potatoes grown in the rich red soil of Prince Edward Island — including culled and surplus spuds that might otherwise go to waste. We gently extract their natural juice and use it in place of water, forming a creamy, moisturizing base that’s kind to your skin.

Each bar reflects our commitment to sustainability and local agriculture — supporting Island farmers, reducing food waste, and creating a gentle soap that helps your skin glow naturally.

The benefits of Potato Juice

Topical application of raw potato (Solanum tuberosum) tissue has been traditionally used to alleviate minor skin irritation, including sunburn, burns, and inflammatory skin conditions. Folk medicine practices have also described its use in reducing skin blemishes and promoting comfort in superficial wounds; however, these effects remain largely anecdotal and lack robust clinical validation.

It's all in the spuds

Each batch of our potato soap is handcrafted in small quantities of just 18 bars. Every bar is carefully hand-cut, then air-dried and cured for more than six months before being boxed. We offer a selection of both scented and unscented varieties, each made from moisturizing, natural ingredients. Our recipes are thoughtfully developed to create a mild, nourishing soap that produces a rich lather and leaves skin feeling soft, clean, and refreshed.
